Recent changes to Christopher's Law have strengthened the province's already strong Ontario Sex Offender Registry (OSOR).  But what impact will the passage of Bill 16, An Act to Amend the Ontario Sex Offender Registry, mean for your police service's ability to use the OSOR effectively?  What are the technological changes resulting from the legislative changes?  What are the changes to Christopher's Law arrest warrants, Notices of Duty to Register, and the Annual Reminder Notices?

The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police is please to host an OACP Ontario Sex Offender Registry Workshop designed to help you understand changes to the OSOR and equip you to use the Registry effectively and efficiently.  Sessions include:

    • Tips for addressing and improving compliance rates
    • Query Building and Mapping for investigative purposes
    • Dealing with the media and the public on OSOR issues
