OACP SIU Workshop

Location: OPP Headquarters, 777 Memorial Avenue, Orillia, ON
** Please note this workshop is for individuals actively employed by a police service in Ontario
The Special Investigation Unit workshop is designed to address the many significant issues related to the SIU which are currently impacting all police services in Ontario. This workshop will be of special interest to senior police leaders and police personnel responsible for professional standards and legal issues within their police services.
Sessions being planned for this workshop include addresses by:
· Senior Toronto Police Service officer on a Chief’s Obligations, Duties & Rights
· OPPA Representative on Association perspective on SIU issues
· Defence Council on Rights to Counsel Issues & Issues regarding Officers
Notebooks
· Address – Ian Scott, Director, SIU
Also planned is a police leader panel and a question & answer period.
A hospitality evening will be held December 2, 2009 at Kelsey’s Restaurant, 405 Memorial Avenue, Orillia, ON.
