OACP President Appointed Chief of Police, Halton Regional Police Service
Fri, June 29, 2012

The OACP is pleased to advise that our President, Steve Tanner has been appointed Chief of Police of Halton Regional Police Service effective September 1st, 2012.

“I am honoured to be assuming this leadership position with another great police service. I am doing so with the knowledge that I have the full support of the Halton Regional Police Services Board for continuing my duties as President of our association.”

Chief Tanner wishes to thank Kingston Police for its tremendous support for his work with the OACP Board of Directors and looks forward to working closely with Deputy Chief Antje McNeely and other OACP members at Kingston Police to further the issues of importance to Ontario’s police leaders and the communities we serve.

“I look forward to furthering the cause of the OACP in both organizations”, said Chief Tanner.
