Passing of Deputy Chief Wayne Lamoure

Ontario's police leaders are sad to acknowledge the sudden death of Wayne Lamoure, who passed away on Tuesday, July 10, at London Health Science Centre-University Hospital at the age of 64. Wayne was an OPP Auxiliary Officer from 1969 to 1971, after which he was hired by Aylmer Police Service. He served for 28 years before retiring as the Deputy Chief of the Aylmer PS in 1999. In March 2002, Wayne resumed active duty with OPP, Elgin Detachment as a part-time officer.

He is survived by his wife Theresa and children Joel and his wife Susan and Matthew.
