McGuinty Government To Make Communities Safer by Helping Municipalities Hire 1,000 New Police Officers

The McGuinty government is putting 1,000 more police officers on our streets through the Safer Communities - 1,000 Officers Partnership program to make our communities safer, Community Safety and Correctional Services Minister Monte Kwinter said today after announcing that the Toronto Police Service is getting funding to hire an additional 250 police officers.
