Constable Jeff Patrick of the Toronto Police Service to be Honoured for Lifetime Achievements in Traffic Safety
Tue, June 16, 2009

For Immediate Release: June 16, 2009

(Toronto, ON) – Toronto Police Services Constable Jeff Patrick has been chosen to receive the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police’s 2009 Lifetime Achievement in Traffic Safety Award.

A 28-year veteran, Constable Jeff Patrick has served his entire career in policing fighting against roadway crime and disorder, investing his energy into traffic safety.

“Constable Patrick has made it his personal mission to fight the devastating impact of drinking and driving not just in Toronto, but everywhere in Ontario and Canada,” said Ontario Provincial Police Chief Superintendent Bill Grodzinski, Co-Chair of the OACP’s Traffic Committee. “There have been sharp declines in alcohol-related traffic fatalities in Canada during the past 25 years and there can be no doubt that the efforts and energy of Jeff Patrick contributed to this achievement.”

Constable Patrick will be presented at the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police’s 58th Annual Conference and Global Showcase (www.oacpconference.on.ca) in Sudbury on June 22.
