(Toronto, ON) – The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police is pleased to announce that applications by community groups in Ontario are being accepted for the 2010 OACP Substance Abuse Grants Program.
The purpose of the 2010 OACP Substance Abuse Grants Program is to support community groups who are interested in applying for grants of between $500.00 and $2,000.00 to initiate/support programs that deal directly with drug prevention and/or information sharing involving youth within communities.
Grant applications will be evaluated by the OACP Substance Abuse Committee and must include an endorsement letter from the applicant’s local police service (the letter must be signed by a Detachment Commander, Unit Commander, or a member of the police service with a rank of Inspector or greater after review of the completed application).
Applications are available on the OACP website (Click Here) and must be received no later than Friday, April 16th, 2010.
