OACP to Honour a Community Group’s Efforts to Make Their Community Safer

For Immediate Release: January 15, 2010

Ontario’s police leaders are now accepting submissions for the 2010 OACP Community Mobilization Award which will recognize a community that has exhibited exemplary on-going efforts designed to make their neighbourhood a safer, more secure place to live. The award will be presented at the OACP’s Annual General Conference and Global Showcase on June 16.

This annual award, sponsored by Accident Support Services International (www.accsupport.com), is presented to a community or community agency which works with a police agency in mobilizing resources to address a community safety issue impacting the community.
