Police Leaders to Honour Exceptional Work by Police in Liquor Enforcement With Two New Awards

Ontario’s police leaders are pleased to announce that the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) has established two new OACP Outstanding Liquor Enforcement Awards to recognize Ontario police services for their efforts in demonstrating excellence and innovation in liquor enforcement.

One award will be presented to a police service with more than 500 employees and another award will be honour the efforts of a service with fewer than 500 employees.

“Police across Ontario take liquor enforcement very seriously. Our priority is always the safety of every citizen. These awards will acknowledge the tireless work of police personnel across our province in ensuring that public safety is paramount when it comes to liquor enforcement issues.” said Superintendent Rick Stubbings, Chair of the OACP Alcohol and Gaming Committee.

The OACP is pleased to partner with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario to make these awards possible.

The awards will be presented at the OACP’s Annual General Conference and Global Showcase on June 16 in Kingston. For information on submitting nominations for this or other OACP awards, please click here.

Submissions must be received no later than Friday, April 2nd, 2010.
