We recently introduced members to Harley, Peel Regional Police’s Electronic Storage Detection Canine Officer, via our HQ Magazine HUB website. Thanks to a great article by Detective Andrew Ullock from PRP’s ICE Unit, Ontarians got to know this amazing canine and his equally amazing work. Check out the article and the HUB here.

The theme of this year’s conference is ‘Breaking Barriers of Hate’, which will highlight the significance of living in a diverse society and the importance of understanding hate crimes and extremism. There is an increase in public interest and media attention on hate crimes and law enforcements’ response to address these issues. Therefore, discussions on these topics will be useful to investigators and police agencies across the country.

Indigenous Services File Human Rights Complaint

The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) is supporting the efforts of Indigenous police services, adding the voice of police leaders to growing calls from Indigenous communities for funding justice when it comes to government support for Indigenous police services. A new resolution passed by OACP members at the Annual General Meeting held on June 14 speaks directly to the unacceptable fiscal situation which Indigenous police services in our province continue to experience.
