The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) is a professional organization representing and supporting Ontario's top law enforcement leaders. Our proactive member engagement focuses on recognizing current issues in the policing world and the use of the OACP network communicate these issues, and generate discussions that lead to the transfer of knowledge and solutions. The OACP provides products and services that assist Ontario's police leaders meet the ever-changing expectations of the people of Ontario.

Who can join OACP
OACP membership is open to senior ranking police officers or civilian equivalent, Staff Sergeants or equivalent civilian positions, as well as Corporate members working in law enforcement.
Our membership categories include:
- Chief and Deputy Chiefs
- Commissioner and Deputy Commissioners
- OPP Chief Superintendents, Superintendents, Inspectors, and Detachment Commanders
- Senior Civilian working in a police service
- Staff Sergeants or equivalent Civilian working in a police service
- Employees working in a law enforcement agency
- Criminal Justice lawyers
- Criminal Justice Instructors and Researchers working at colleges and universities
