The OACP is once again proud to partner with Blue Line Magazine to bring police leaders and members to the OACP & Blue Line Expo and Professional Development Day, on Thursday, April 29, 2026, at the International Centre in Mississauga, ON.
The event will feature sessions curated for all ranks and a trade show floor showcasing the newest products, technologies, services, and solutions for procurement professionals, senior police leaders, and other members of the policing, first responder, and security communities.
Complementing the trade show, a professional development program will feature panels of provincial police leaders discussing current challenges and emerging solutions facing the policing profession.
Panel Schedule:
10:30 AM: Leading with purpose: Cultivating adaptive leadership and culture in complex times
In an era of rapid social change, evolving public expectations and complex social pressures, policing leadership is no longer just about strategy; it’s about culture. We will explore how modern public safety leaders build and sustain adaptive, resilient and inclusive organizations that embrace change, prioritize wellness, uphold equity and model accountability at every level.

11:15 AM: Policing Priorities In Partnership With Government
Public safety challenges increasingly cut across municipal, provincial and federal lines, from community safety and mental health response to organized crime, cyber threats and critical infrastructure protection. How can police leaders effectively align policing priorities with broader public safety objectives, coordinate initiatives across jurisdictions and implement consistent, province-wide standards while maintaining operational independence and community responsiveness?
Speakers:
- Chief Mark Campbell, Strathroy-Caradoc Police Service
- Chief Nishan Duraiappah, Peel Regional Police

12:00 PM: Trust Under Pressure: Crisis Leadership, Internal Alignment And Public Communication
In moments of crisis, how police leaders communicate and act internally is just as critical as what is said publicly. High-stakes incidents place extraordinary pressure on officers, supervisors and executives alike, and leadership decisions made before, during and after these moments directly shape member trust, organizational cohesion and public confidence. Here, we’ll explore the responsibility of police leaders to lead their people while communicating with their communities.
