The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) is pleased to announce that nominations are now being accepted for the following OACP Annual Awards:
- OACP Traffic Safety Excellence Award
- OACP Award of Excellence in Community Safety, Wellness, and Crime Prevention
- OACP/CCN Catherine Martin Award of Excellence in Media Relations and Corporate Communications
- OACP Excellence in Information Technology/Services Award
- OACP Excellence in Leadership Award
- OACP Award of Excellence in the Advancement of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusivity in Policing
- OACP AGCO Award for Outstanding Investigation
In addition, the OACP is proud to introduce a new award: the Award of Excellence in Indigenous Community Collaboration. This award recognizes individuals, teams, or organizations that have demonstrated a meaningful and sustained commitment to collaboration with Indigenous peoples and have advanced reconciliation through leadership, action, and accountability. It highlights exemplary leadership that integrates Indigenous knowledge, culture, and perspectives into organizational practices, policies, and programs. Nominees will have demonstrated courageous leadership, mentorship, and knowledge sharing, resulting in measurable and lasting impacts that strengthen relationships and contribute to systemic change. For the purposes of this award, “Indigenous” refers collectively to the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples of Canada.

The awards will be presented during the OACP Annual Conference at the Awards & Life Members Luncheon on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
