The Board of Directors met for the final in-person Board meeting for 2025 in Huntsville on November 24.
Highlights of the meeting included:
- A report from the Executive Director detailing the work of the association since our September meeting
- OACP Implementation Plan Progress Report
- OACP Staffing Plan
- Updates from staff on advocacy, events, and Board governance
- Approval of an OACP Award of Excellence in Indigenous Community Collaboration
- Update on the provincial recruitment campaign from Past President Deputy Chief Roger Wilkie
OACP members can access the full Board agenda on the OACP website. Our Zone Directors also do a great job of making information on the Board’s work available through Zone meetings and regular communications out to Zone members.
The Board is positioning the association to implement some exciting new changes that will enhance OACP’s capacity in key areas of the association’s business, especially advocacy, communications, Board governance, events, support for committees, research leadership, education and training, etc. Stay tuned!
