The Ministry of the Solicitor General is pleased to advise that nominations are open for the Ontario Medal for Police Bravery – Ontario’s highest honour – in recognition of police officers whose actions demonstrate outstanding courage and bravery.
This medal serves as a reminder of the exceptional officers in Ontario police services who put their lives at great risk on an ongoing basis and show remarkable courage and resilience in the face of what are often dangerous circumstances.
We encourage members to nominate a police officer for this prestigious honour. The deadline to submit nominations is February 28, 2026.
To submit a nomination for this Medal program:
- Visit ontario.ca/honoursandawards
- Scroll down and select “Learn how to nominate someone” under the Bravery category.
- Click on Ontario Medal for Police Bravery.
- Read the eligibility criteria and instructions carefully.
- Scroll down to “How to nominate someone” and click on Go to Nomination Portal.
- Click on My Ontario Account and create an account (or sign in for returning users) to access the Ontario Honours and Awards Portal.
- Submit your nomination through the portal no later than February 28, 2026.
- The access code ON25-PMB is required to submit your nomination online.
