Back to SearchThe Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police is proud to bring together police services, government, and community groups to make and celebrate significant events through provincial campaigns. Note these important campaign launches:
Crime Prevention Week 2026 – November 1-7, 2026
The annual Crime Prevention Week 2026 is scheduled for Sunday, November 1 through Saturday, November 7. The OACP shared the theme and supporting materials (including key messages, graphics, and templates for media releases and social media) on October 27. We look forward to seeing the great work taking place in communities across Ontario and sharing your initiatives throughout the week. Thank you for your continued commitment to crime prevention and community safety! View information and materials on our webpage here.
Festive RIDE – November 18, 2026
In early October, the OACP invited all police services to attend the 2026 provincial Festive RIDE Launch event.
Hosted by Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS), with support from the OACP Traffic Committee, the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, and police services across Ontario, the annual campaign promotes traffic enforcement and raises awareness of the dangers of alcohol- and drug-impaired driving.
