(Toronto, ON) – In recognition of Zero Discrimination Day, the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) has issued Building Relationships: A Guide to Policing and 2SLGBTQ+ Communities, an updated resource for police personnel designed to help policing professionals better serve and work with 2SLGBTQ+ communities. The document is a significant update of the original document Best Practices in Policing and LGBTQ Communities in Ontario issued in 2013.

Thank you to Peel Regional Police (PRP) for producing a terrific new video highlighting the benefits of joining the service and recruits starting their journey through the OACP's Constable Selection System (CSS). The Join Our Policing Family video is available on the OACP's YouTube channel.

The Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) is proud to announce that Niagara Regional Police Service and the Ontario Police Video Training Alliance (OPVTA) have provided the OACP with an updated "Welcome to Canada" videos which helps new Canadians understand Canadian policing.
