The Mission of the Ontario Homicide Investigators Association (OHIA) is to bring together the men and women charged with the responsibility of investigating homicides and to provide a forum through which they can share their skill, knowledge, and expertise for their professional development and support.
Each year, the OHIA Workshop Committee provides content that is topical, relevant and aimed to benefit Canadian Homicide Investigators by developing their skills in the current environment. This ensures that the workshop is informative, relevant and educational.

2026 Featured Presentations
Project Grantham
When a Hamilton man and two Brantford residents were killed in July 2019, a joint investigative team was formed. For over two years, the teams worked tirelessly to identify the individuals responsible.
Investigating the murders of our fallen brothers and sisters is one of the most complex and sensitive responsibilities in law enforcement. These cases demand meticulous attention to detail, impartiality, and adherence to legal and ethical standards. These investigators manage these high-stakes investigations under intense public and organizational pressures, to bring justice for our fallen officers and their families.
