Mandate
The Committee is responsible for the administration of the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police's (OACP) awards and the selection process of the award winners. At the OACP's Annual Conference the Committee members assist with the Honour Roll, and the coordination of the Life Members and Awards Luncheon. On behalf of the OACP, the Committee will assist with increasing the OACP membership and coordinate the Certified Municipal Manager (CMM) designation program with the Ontario Municipal Manager Institute.
An additional mandate of the Committee is to assist the OACP Life Member Advisory Council in strengthening the inclusion of retired members of the OACP and generate an exciting curriculum that is both rewarding and fulfilling.

MandateThe Life Members Advisory Council (Council) is responsible for all of the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) activities that pertain to the association’s history. As such, the Council is responsible for advising the Association on the ways and means necessary to track, record, and preserve the history and artifacts of OACP and its members and officers. The Council will establish a plan for creating a complete historical record of the association's early history and expand the record as years progress. Annually, the Council shall approve a narrative account of the association's activities that, when approved by the Board shall become a permanent part of the association's historical record. Each year the President shall appoint a member to the Committee who will be known as the Association Historian. LeadershipChair: Deputy Chief Warren Burger (Ret.) |
